NSH today announced the opening of Colorado Orthopaedic and Surgical Hospital ("COSH") in Denver, Colorado.  The hospital, located at 1830 Franklin Street, is a joint venture among Exempla Healthcare and a group of 26 area surgeons.

   NSH announced that it recently acquired a 40% interest in Skyway Surgery Center in Chico, California.  Majority ownership in the facility remains with the surgery center's 20 physician partners.

Mountain View Regional Hospital, located in Casper, WY, opened to the public on June 2, 2008. 

The new hospital is equipped with four operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and 24 inpatient beds.  Although it is suited for a range of multi-specialty surgical care, Mountain View will focus heavily on neurosurgery, including spine and cranial procedures.  Because of the complexity involved with this focus, it is expected to experience relatively higher case acuity versus the Company's other specialty hospitals.

NSH announced yesterday that it recently acquired a 49% interest in Coastal Bend Surgery Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Majority ownership in the facility, which was established 20 years ago, remains with 55 physician partners.

NSH announced that it has acquired a majority stake in Sterling Ridge Surgery Center, a freestanding multi-specialty ambulatory surgical center (ASC) in The Woodlands, Texas.

National Surgical Hospitals announces the completion of a $150 million debt transaction with GMAC Health Capital, a business unit of Residential Capital, LLC (GMAC ResCap).
