Information Services Overview

NSH Information Services provides centralized infrastructure and systems planning, implementation, and support for the NSH Corporate office, Hospitals, and Ambulatory Surgery Centers. This includes the support of a single Data Center housing over 700 servers and allowing access to applications and system resources for twenty-four sites and remote users via a redundant Wide Area Network.

In 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 the Information Services department helped their Surgical Hospitals demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology.

Information Services Leadership
Cathy Borst, Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer

Cathy Borst joined the NSH Leadership Team as Chief Information Officer (CIO) in 2012. She brings to the position over twenty years of experience in information systems and health care. Prior to joining NSH, Ms. Borst served as the Senior Vice President and CIO at MedCath Incorporated, a multi-facility, for profit, healthcare organization specializing in cardiology services. Ms. Borst began her career at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) serving as a Manager in the health services industry. She holds a BBA in Finance and Economics from Baylor University.
